Lettuce Wrap Salad
Serves: 2 to three
Elements
- 1 ½ cups jícama, finely chopped
- 1 ½ cups shiitake mushrooms, finely chopped
- ¼ cup pink onion, finely chopped
- ¾ cup pink bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 cup bean sprouts, finely chopped
- 2 scallions, finely chopped
- ½ cup Chinese language pea pods (snow peas), finely sliced
- 3 tablespoon tamari
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 head butter lettuce leaves
- ½ cup mint leaves
- ½ bunch cilantro, with stems
Directions
- Wash lettuce leaves and wrap in paper or kitchen towels. Place in fridge to sit back and crisp.
- Marinate chopped greens besides lettuce, mint, and cilantro, in oil and tamari for 10 minutes.
- To serve: Place filling on plate and serve lettuce leaves, cilantro, and mint on a separate plate. Make wrap by putting filling on a butter lettuce leaf, together with a bit of mint, cilantro leaves, and a drizzle every of the peanut, cilantro, and tamari sauces.
Filling will be served heat or chilly. I prefer it heat particularly with crisp chilled lettuce leaves.
Tip: Place elements in dehydrator at 110 levels for 1 hour to heat and barely soften greens.
Three Sauces:
Make 3 dipping sauces, which can be utilized for any wrap.
Peanut Sauce
Elements
- ¼ cup uncooked peanut butter or uncooked almond butter
- 1 garlic clove, minced or crushed
- juice of 1 lime
- 2 tablespoon agave nectar
- 3 tablespoon tamari or nama shoyu
- 3 tablespoon water or as wanted to desired texture
- 2 teaspoon grated ginger or pinch of powdered ginger
- pinch crushed pink pepper flakes to style; or for a spicier model, add finely chopped serrano chili
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk collectively nut butter, garlic, lime juice, agave nectar, tamari, water, ginger, pink pepper flakes. Combine till clean, including water as wanted to succeed in pourable consistency.
Cilantro Sauce
Elements
- ½ cup cilantro, finely chopped
- juice from ½ lime
- 1 tablespoon water
- sprint of sweetener of selection
Directions
- Stir till clean.
Coconut Aminos or Tamari Sauce
Elements
- 2 tablespoon coconut aminos or tamari
- 2 tablespoon water
Directions
- Stir collectively.
